Vitamin A is a necessary micronutrient to maintain healthy eyesight. It can keep cells growing, maintain the integrity of epithelial cells and protect our immunity and ability to reproduce cells. Statistics show that about 250 thousands to 500 thousands children go blind because of vitamin A deficiency every year, 50% of them dies one year after turning blind. Vitamin A deficiency is also an important factor for mother mortality and other women's diseases during pregnancy and nursing. Therefore, vitamin A deficiency (VAD) is considered to be one of the three micronutrient deficiencies in the world. According to researches and our experiences, food fortification is the most economical, efficient and sustainable solution to micronutrient deficiencies. NHU pays attention to vitamin A and other nutrients fortification plan of cooking oil, flour, sugar and other foods, offering support to better nutrition for all human beings.
