Using chemical-and biological-based technology as the core platform, we target customer demand as our guide, conducting comprehensive research to assess the trends. With a look ahead to our R&D, we will explore multi-dimensional opportunities in science, technology and application. Furthermore, we construct an industrial chain focused on bulk raw materials, offering customers a suite of value-driving products and services of cost-effectiveness. An integrated structure ensures a product network with an industrial ecosystem that empowers continual enrichment in fine chemical products.

NHU is further invigorating innovation by expanding investments, improving R & D software and hardware environment, encouraging academic research through production, and creating specialized shared technology platforms, including those for analysis, separation and catalysis. Through our endeavors, we are making progress towards an “innovation driven” culture, bolstered by basic research technology and high-end talents, so as to build a strong foundation for successful industrial development.

At NHU, we believe that cooperation is key to fostering greater innovation. Our R & D concept is based on demand-driven, internal and external partnerships. To this end, we have brought together innovative minds from around the world and strategically partnered with renowned universities and research institutes, such as Zhejiang University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Denmark’s Biotechnology Company. We are collaborating to tackle global scientific and technological challenges, as well as industrial development issues. Additionally, through joint efforts, we are striving to drive industrial transformation and upgrade the value chain. We constantly draw from the expertise of our partners to sharpen our technical skills, enabling us to make breakthroughs on difficult issues, ultimately leading to new success. Adhering to the ethos of openness and collaboration, NHU has been consistently overcoming key technological challenges. Our achievements includes: more than 50 national and provincial projects, two National Technology Invention Award second-prizes and eight first awards from provincial and ministerial trade associations; one Special Award from the Sinopec Federation Technology Invention; 332 issued patents domestically, 77 issued patents abroad, and one gold and one silver patents within China. NHU has been presiding and participating in the creation of 51 national, industrial and commnity standards.
For those who have contributed significantly to green chemistry, NHU and IUPAC have established a cooperative award in the field, known as the “IUPAC-Zhejiang NHU International Green Chemistry Progress Award” to reward and incentive the endeavours of green chemists and those newly-qualified doctorates. Furthermore, in 2009 Beijing University of Chemical Technology present the “NHU Special Scholarship” and, in 2015, Zhejiang University established the “NHU Scholarship”, to reward those students committed to excellence, pioneering capabilities and a passion for scientific research; to motivate them to utilise youth and wisdom in the dedication to social progress.
